Conclusion of Events

The events of this evening involving unauthorized personnel on the property north of the Utah Ranch has a profound effect in future outings of possible UFO watchers or people with other motives. Based upon the actions of security, the persons felt comfortable in the environment with their filtered flashlights. They also prepared to spend at least a few hours, which was cut drastically short due to vigilance and proper utilization of issued equipment. The persons had made many mistakes, which tend to lean towards the possibility we are dealing with persons who live within 40 minutes of the Ranch based upon the day being Monday Night at 2230 until known time frame, if not detected. They had a beer with them, which if conducting a legitimate tactical operation to test either security or the environment would not be an item brought along with an operation. Additionally, leaving trash; i.e., cigarette butt, water bottle, beer can (which was 90% full) is extremely sloppy operational tactics. Now, they did have the Sure Fire filtered lens cap; however, this item can be purchased for $40-$60 dollars. Although it is doubtful that the trespassers were on Utah ranch property and more likely on adjacent property, the actions taken during this incident may have a positive effect in deterring local people who are contemplating trespassing on the Utah ranch.

Once word spreads in the local community that the ranch security guards have dogs, as well as the fact that I was able to detect both individuals who were using shielded light sources without me being detected, will serve warning to locals that security guards have night vision equipment and may be able to catch trespassers. This information may deter future ranch visits.
